get error message saying lcpdfr wont load!

Featured Replies

hi

i have just installed fresh copies of both gta iv and then the police mod with els 7.0 in and when i start i get an error message in the top left corner saying lcpdfr wont load not sure why ?

Which version did you use to install LCPDFR? Automatic or Manual?

Which GTA IV patch are you using? and is it a legitimate copy?

I would try installing just LCPDFR first, make sure it's on 1.0a (the hotfix) and check again.

If that doesn't work then make sure your folders in the GTA IV directory aren't read-only and that LCPDFR can access them, and also try to run GTA IV as administrator.

hope this helps, if not come back and quote me so I know you've replied :)

Also, do you have a legal copy of the game?

Also, please install these

To run the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

yeah its a legit copy running 10.7.0 and has got the hot fix and was an auto install

i have just checked the read only bit and there is a little box inside the bit you tick and when i untick it and apply and ok then went to check again this little box had come back again? dunno what thats about

It's a normal windows error, not much to do about it. As long as you run both exe's as administrator it shouldn't be a issue. I recommend you to reinstall LCPDFR with the manual installation package instead, as this has shown to solve some issues.
